A-Level Test Preparation

A-Level Test Preparation

The A-Level Examination Preparation Programme is designed for students currently enrolled in A-Level courses or preparing for upcoming AS/A2 examinations. Drawing on each student's current subject proficiency, target grades, and examination timeline, the programme provides personalised instruction covering knowledge consolidation, past-paper practice, examination technique guidance, and structured revision planning. The programme supports students across multiple examination boards, including CIE, Edexcel, AQA, OCR, and WJEC, and covers subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Further Mathematics, History, Business Studies, English Literature, Accounting, Computer Science, Chinese, and Biology. The programme aims to help students develop a more systematic understanding of course content, improve examination performance, and establish effective study habits suited to the international curriculum framework.
In addition, if students have specific needs, we can also provide systematic multi-subject tutoring for AP and IB courses.
Package of hours is to be discussed.

Service Workflow

1. Initial Needs Assessment

The academic coordinator conducts a one-on-one online consultation with the student to understand the current curriculum framework, examination board, enrolled subjects, academic foundation, target grades, and primary areas of difficulty.

2. Learning Plan Development

Based on the student's course content, examination schedule, and current proficiency level, a phased tutoring plan is formulated, specifying revision priorities, instructional pacing, and performance improvement targets.

3. Tutor Matching

A suitable A-Level subject tutor is matched according to the student's subjects, examination board, identified knowledge gaps, and preferred teaching style.

4. Pre-Lesson Diagnostic

Prior to the commencement of formal instruction, the tutor engages in a preliminary discussion with the student to assess current learning progress, key difficulties, and examination arrangements, and to confirm the frequency and focus of upcoming sessions.

5. Formal Tutoring

The tutor delivers targeted instruction covering knowledge consolidation, resolution of challenging concepts, exercise practice, past-paper analysis, and examination technique development, with the instructional pace adjusted dynamically in response to the student's rate of progress.

6. Post-Lesson Feedback

Following each session, a lesson feedback report is provided, summarising the content covered, the student's level of understanding, assigned homework, revision priorities, and access to session recordings.

7. Monthly Progress Review

The academic coordinator conducts a monthly follow-up on the student's learning progress, producing a monthly review report that consolidates phased feedback, identifies areas for improvement, and refines the ongoing study plan.

8. End-of-Term Summary

A comprehensive summary is provided at the conclusion of the term, incorporating the student's academic performance, attendance record, and demonstrated improvement, along with recommendations for subsequent learning and planning for the next academic phase.
