What is IPA?
IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) is a globally recognized phonetic system based on the Latin alphabet, used as the standard form of representation for spoken language pronunciation.

What are the benefits of learning IPA?
1. Pronunciation is 100% accurate.
After learning IPA, you can accurately pronounce any word by simply opening a dictionary and checking the phonetic symbols.
2. Improve fluency in English speaking
IPA teaches you stress and suffix, as well as the rules of English pronunciation. With proper mastery and practice, you too can pronounce like a native speaker.
3. Significantly improves listening skills in a short period of time.
Many students may not be able to fully understand foreigners' English. It's not necessarily because you lack vocabulary or because others speak too fast; it's simply because you may not know the correct pronunciation of words or the rules of English pronunciation.
IPA vs phonics?
Phonics is a natural phonics method, a learning method developed for foreign children to read and write, but it does not help with listening and pronunciation. The problem that Hong Kong students encounter when learning phonics is that they often misread and misspell words, while IPA completely avoids these problems.
Is IPA only suitable for children?
Absolutely not! Children, middle school students, university students, and adults can all learn IPA!
