Service Workflow
1. Needs Assessment
The academic coordinator conducts a 15–30 minute one-on-one online consultation to introduce the service content, programme structure, and academic standards, while simultaneously assessing the student's specific needs.
2. Semester Planning
Based on the core knowledge components, assessment formats, and the student's current proficiency level across their enrolled courses for the semester, a focused and personalised tutoring plan is developed, specifying tutoring priorities, pacing, and objectives.
3. Tutor Matching
A tutor with the optimal fit is selected based on the core knowledge components of the course, disciplinary alignment requirements, and the student's preferred teaching style, ensuring that the tutoring is closely tailored to the student's needs.
4. Pre-Session Consultation
Following the matching process, the tutor conducts a 15-minute pre-session consultation with the student prior to the first lesson to develop a comprehensive understanding of the student's current academic progress and knowledge gaps, and to confirm the specific time, frequency, and other details of the first session.
5. Formal Instruction
Targeted instruction is delivered using an appropriate pedagogical approach, reinforcing understanding through case analysis, exercise practice, and real-time interaction, while continuously monitoring learning outcomes and dynamically adjusting the instructional pace.
6. Post-Lesson Feedback
Within 24 hours of each session, the tutor provides a lesson feedback report offering targeted recommendations — including assigned homework and revision priorities — based on the student's demonstrated understanding of the session's content, as well as access to the session recording.
7. Monthly Review
The academic coordinator produces a monthly learning review report, drawing on classroom performance data to consolidate learning progress, assess knowledge acquisition and areas for improvement, and refine the ongoing tutoring plan to ensure steady progress towards the student's academic goals.
8. End-of-Semester Summary
The academic coordinator provides a comprehensive end-of-semester summary based on the student's grades, attendance, and demonstrated improvement, offering recommendations for subsequent consolidation and planning for the following semester to support continued academic development.
