Using industry standard tools and professional facilities, participants will learn how to plan, film and edit their own short videos. Through teamwork, storytelling, and practical exercises, students will build real production skills while having great fun along the way.

Perfect for aspiring YouTubers, young filmmakers, or anyone who loves being creative!

The workshop begins with Storytelling and Pre-Production, where students brainstorm creative ideas, learn how to write scripts and structure a story, are introduced to the basics of storyboarding, and plan their scenes, shot lists, and team roles. They then move on to Filming Techniques, gaining an understanding of camera angles, framing and shot composition, learning the essentials of lighting and sound, working with professional equipment, and applying these skills through hands-on team-based filming practice. In the Editing and Post Production stage, participants develop skills in cutting, sequencing and timing, enhance their videos by adding music, transitions and effects, apply simple colour correction and audio adjustments, and learn how to export and prepare their final videos for upload.

Finally, the workshop emphasises Collaboration and Creative Expression, with students completing group-based assignments, sharing ideas and giving constructive feedback, and confidently presenting their finished video to the class.
