Do your children/students suffer from conditions such as learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, fluency disorders, speech sound disorders, or motor function difficulties?

Our 30-minute screening session, conducted by experienced speech therapy pathologists and occupational therapists, is designed to identify potential issues in speech, language, early literacy skills, motor skills, attention, behavior, and mental health. We use various screening assessments and observational checklists tailored to your child’s age and grade. After the screening, our professional team will generate an individual report to better identify the issues and recommend solutions.

You may book these services for specific age groups of students or choose to screen only those students who may have potential problems.

Parents are invaluable members of the school community and our AHSS team has designed  and delivered many workshops for parents with valuable insights and practical strategies to support them and their child’s educational and personal development. All of these workshops aim to equip parents and caregivers with the tools and knowledge to foster a positive and nurturing environment at home. Some of our recent workshops include:

• Understanding the importance of speech/language skills for academic learning
• Playing to develop cognition, learning, social and problems-solving
• Shared book reading at home: how and how often?
• Re-thinking behaviour management to facilitate students’ self-regulation
• Building your child’s resilience
• Using prompting, cueing, and reinforcement at home.

The introductory yearly subscription is a cost-effective, introduction to the AHSS program that builds the foundation of the ‘response to intervention’ model through screening, teacher training and parent education. All of our member schools priority access to professionals and services at discounted rates and are provided with an AHSS program coordinator, that is, a dedicated professional from the OST Team.
